Save our Sonics Rally. PG-13

Here are the pix from Monday's rally in front of the Federal Courthouse in downtown Seattle. Some good stuff!

Clay Bennett, get it?

There were a lot of people there

GP: "As long as you're here, I'm here."

People have tried and failed to steal our teams before...

But the winner is...

Referring of course to the email in which Bennett said he'd just re-sell the team if they couldn't move the team. Nice.

  1. Cool that you were there with the Glove. I don't have any skin in this game, so I'm torn on the issues. On the one hand, I think Stern is lame for punishing a city for not being willing to further subsidize a huge, corporate enterprise like an NBA franchise and, instead, using those resources where they are much more needed in the community. On the other hand, other than the contractual obligations of the lease, it seems wierd to prevent someone from moving a business if they really want to. Sure, it sucks for the business' loyal customers (i.e., the entire city of Seattle), but that's life, isn't it? I don't know. I'm glad it's not happening to the Jazz (yet). Hang in there, Seattle.
