Cool that you were there with the Glove. I don't have any skin in this game, so I'm torn on the issues. On the one hand, I think Stern is lame for punishing a city for not being willing to further subsidize a huge, corporate enterprise like an NBA franchise and, instead, using those resources where they are much more needed in the community. On the other hand, other than the contractual obligations of the lease, it seems wierd to prevent someone from moving a business if they really want to. Sure, it sucks for the business' loyal customers (i.e., the entire city of Seattle), but that's life, isn't it? I don't know. I'm glad it's not happening to the Jazz (yet). Hang in there, Seattle.
Mark and Ginger live in Seattle, WA. We have an old boat made of wood, and she is trying to return back to the earth by slowly becoming compost. With paint, varnish, sweat, blood, swearing, tears and money we try to prevent the composting of SWIETENIA. Sometimes we find moist, soft fibers of something or other in the bilge, we call this BoatMulch. It's generally recommended to remove this collected debris as it contributes to rot.
Other topics will likely include griping about the NBA, fixing our old house, and plant nerd stuff. Boat plus gardening equals BoatMulch. Enjoy.
